A Lit & Phil Carol (with a nod to Mr Dickens)

An extra show has now been added due to A Lit & Phil Carol being a sell-out event! Book your tickets for Saturday 7 December at 7.30pm.

The Lit & Phil’s Head Librarian, Ebenezer Compendium, wants to sell all the books in the library. He just wants to make money. Only science and rational thinking exist in his world. What use is imagination and creativity anyway? His two assistants, George and Frank, are worried about the future of the library and do everything they can to stop him... but can they convince Compendium to change his mind?

Families looking for Christmas performances and festive things to do with the kids in Newcastle are invited to join November Club at The Lit & Phil to find out what happens to the Lit & Phil and the 170,000 books at risk of disappearing forever. A Lit & Phil Carol is a family-friendly storytime inspired by the themes of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol

A festive tale told by November Club. Written by Fiona Ellis.
