Blog: Ursula’s return

On the eve of the 20th century an incident closed Saltwell Park forever.

until now...

Just days to go until the Inventors’ Ball and Ursula is summoning her strength and her friends to prepare for the celebrations.

My dearest friends

I know, like me, you will be approaching the ball with some trepidation after the treatment we received over a century ago. I ask you to put your fears to one side. For years I have been watching these people through a crack in time and I think they’re ready. Ready for what we have to offer. Already these people have conquered outer space and carry devices in their hands that allow them to control their lives from what I can see. They exist in a technological age where medicines do things now we only ever dreamed of, they are more accepting of things they do not fully understand.  Those women amongst us who chose not to pursue a life of marriage and duty are not viewed with suspicion now. Our instincts to create, invent and think for ourselves are positively celebrated now. We are no longer an anomaly.

You will learn so much from them and they from you.

These people embrace magic as an everyday occurrence. They are the generation of optimists.

Remember this is your park, my gift to you.

Your humble servant,

Ursula
