Tour of Britain in the North East 2019

The UK's most prestigious professional cycling race - the Tour of Britain will arrive in the North East for Stage 3 of the event on Monday 9 September 2019 and leave on Tuesday 10 September for Stage 4 of the race from Gateshead.

The two stages of the cycling event then take place in the North East are a great opportunity to watch this thrilling road race. Catch the Tour of Britain in North of Tyne from Berwick-upon-Tweed to Newcastle-upon-Tyne and then from Gateshead to Kendal in Cumbria. Expect fireworks on the finishing drag up Grey Street on Monday 9 September when riders arrive in the heart of Newcastle city centre ending Stage 3.

There are 8 stages in total to the Tour of Britain cycle race which begins in Glasgow on Saturday 7 September and finishes on Saturday 14 September in Manchester. The world’s top teams and riders will cover 1,250-kilometre over the 8-day event.
