Celebrate St Patrick's Day at Newcastle Racecourse with an afternoon of jump racing, entertainment and Irish festivities.

Admission Tickets & Packages: Grandstand & Paddock Admission Tickets will be emailed and Premier Enclosure Admission Tickets posted to all guests no later than a week before the event (and before the event day if booked within a week of the event), unless directly advised that they are being posted or available for collection on the day. Raceday Essentials Packages, Guinness Packages & Gift Experience Day Packages are available for collection on the day from the Racecourse Office.

Hospitality Packages: Advance bookings only, and available for parties of two or more. To check availability please call 0191 236 2020. Hospitality tickets will be posted out up to a week before the event, unless directly advised that they are available for collection on the day.

Concessions & Student Discount: Disabled guests, students with valid student ID and senior citizens (over 60) receive £4 off the gate price on the day. Admission is free for the registered carer of a disabled guest. For more information on concessions and student discount please follow the link below to FAQ's.

Group Booking Discount: £1 off each admission ticket when purchasing 10 or more in advance.

Road Directions

Follow the brown and white tourist board signs bearing the horse and rider from the A1, A19 and main approach roads to the city.

Newcastle Racecourse is on the outskirts of Gosforth adjacent to The Marriott Hotel.

Car Parking is free of charge. Please allow extra time in traveling to The Racecourse.

Public Transport Directions

By Air

If traveling by helicopter please contact the Racecourse Office on 0191 236 2020 Newcastle International Airport is situated 6 miles from Newcastle Racecourse.

By Train

From Newcastle City Centre from Haymarket, Monument or Newcastle Central Metro Stations you can take the Metro, along the airport line to Regent Centre Metro Station.

You will then need to take a bus from Regent Centre Metro Station to Newcastle Racecourse.

By Bus

There will be a FREE bus hopper service from Regent Centre & Four Lane Ends Metro Stations on each raceday. The service will run from approximately 90 minutes prior to the first race up until the first race.

Bus numbers 40, 41,42,43,44 & 45 leave from Haymarket bus station in the city centre every few minutes.

If you asked to be dropped off at The Gosforth Park Hotel, which is beside the Racecourse. Across the road you will see the gateposts of the Racecourse and the raceday signage, this is the top of the Racecourse drive.

You will need to walk straight down the drive until you arrive at the Racecourse Buildings, which are to the right hand side of the road.

Should you require any assistance please call into The Racecourse Office, which is a green door beside The Border Minstrel Pub.

The Brandling House is normally where all our Conference and Banqueting events are held, the main house is situated past The Border Minstrel Pub.

Parklands Golf Course is situated further down the Racecourse Drive on the left hand side of the road.

Complete Football is situated on the right hand side of the road, past the Racecourse turnstiles.

After racing the FREE bus hopper service will run up to 1 hour after the last race to both Regent Centre & Four Lane Ends Metro Stations on each raceday.

By Taxi

There is a taxi rank outside Newcastle Central Station. A Taxi journey should take around 15-30 minutes to Newcastle Racecourse.
