Naked Feasts: Feast of Heritage with Anna Hedworth, The Grazer

Come on, let’s get fresh and go outside!

Dunston Staiths was built in 1893 for loading North East coal directly onto ships, in September it will reopen to the public after a 30 year closure and a £1m restoration. Tonight includes a sneak VIP preview and a chance, quite literally, to consume the history, folklore and fabric of Europe’s largest wooden structure.

Brilliant supperclub chef and food blogger Anna Hedworth, who also runs Cook House in the Ouseburn, has created a unique signature menu of dishes inspired by the story of the Staiths, past, present and future. Take your seat at a table set on the 600m long structure, high above the Tyne and experience Dunston Staiths on a plate.

This event can cater for vegetarians. Please send us an email at in advance to let us know.

Thanks to Owen Pugh Construction and Tyne & Wear Buildings Preservation Trust.
