Downy Duckling Days at WWT Washington


WWT Washington have a brilliant May Half Term 2019 lined up for you. Meet fluffy baby ducklings and goslings at their popular Downy Duckling Days. You might even get to tickle their tiny heads as they're held safely in the hands of their experts. Find out what will be going on...


Duckery talks are on every day from 1-2pm during half term week, held outside our specialist duckery. Learn more about WWT's vital conservation breeding programmes.

Outdoor nursery

See tiny ducklings and goslings taking their first wobbly steps in our outdoor pens. Open every day between 12noon and 2pm.

Pond dipping

Grab your nets and explore our ponds where you can have fun spotting all sorts of insects and pond wildlife. Guided by our education team, our pond dipping sessions run daily from 10.30am - 11.30am. These are drop-in sessions so there's no need to pre-book!


Come and get creative in our duck themed craft sessions taking place throughout half term week, 2.00pm - 3.30pm. Small charges may apply to some of the craft activities.

Downy Duckling activities and Pond Dipping are both included as part of normal admission. Save 10% off the standard admission cost by booking online.
