Award entries

It’s a great honour to receive a North East England Tourism Award, giving businesses official recognition for their positive contribution to the tourism industry in our region.

Here are just a few reasons why you should enter this year's awards:

  • Submitting an entry is completely free of charge.
  • The awards recognise and reward businesses and people working in the tourism and hospitality industry, and help raise the profile and importance of the industry.

  • Simply entering the awards is a win-win situation. Completing an application is an excellent management tool and helps businesses focus on key aspects of managing the business and how they can develop and improve in the future - remember all entrants will get valuable feedback from the judges.

We want everyone to maximise their chances of winning by presenting the strongest possible entry. Please remember that judges might not know your business personally and will be shortlisting based exclusively on the materials you provide in your application. It is important, therefore, that your entry is clearly presented and easy to read, addresses the judging criteria, looks professional and conveys what it is that makes your business really special.

Entry opens Tuesday 5 June 2018

Entry closes Monday 3 September 2018 at 4 pm

Entrants must submit an electronic copy of their application form, plus one pdf document (max size 20mb) of supporting evidence if relevant. The judging will be based on this entry form, your website (viewed on desktop, mobile and tablet) and any other online presence that you might have, including social media.  The judges will also look at your online customer reviews.
