Wylam Brewery

Founded in 2000, Wylam is a 30 Barrel Micro Brewery that resides at the Palace of Arts in Exhibition Park.  Alongside the Brewery there is a Brewery Tap, which is open to the public Thursdays to Sundays inclusive. The Grand Hall plays host to Live Music, Weddings, Pop Up Events and more …

Wylam Brewery's new home is at the Palace of Art in Exhibition Park which is the last remaining building from the 1929 North East Exhibition. The Exhibition was an ambitious project built to celebrate and encourage Craft, Art and Industry at the start of the Great Depression.

Having remained almost derelict for nearly a decade the building has now sprung back to life as a fully operational working Brewery. The Brewery has come a fairly long way since local-born founding fathers John Boyle & Robin Leighton pored over their first malt bills and recipes in a potting shed in the village of Wylam, Northumberland. Wylam Brewery's homegrown brews are now enjoyed in quality pubs and bottle shops across the land.

A host of events from live music extravaganzas to food festivals take place on a regular basis at the Palace of Arts. Find out more here.

Get to know Wylam's beers here including their famous Jakehead IPA, range of Heritage Cask Beers and core keg beers which offer a full spectrum of flavours for all tastes.

You can even go on a Brewery Tour which take place every Saturday at 11am and include an introduction to the brewing process, a brief history of the Brewery and the opportunity to sample four of our beers. Book a tour here.
