Newcastle Tours

Join Newcastle Tours for a fascinating exploration of 2000 years of history and culture in one of Britain’s most famous cities.

Enjoy a 90-minute guided bus tour along the world famous NewcastleGateshead Quayside with its unique collection of seven bridges and the city centre, with museums, galleries and elegant architecture – ‘the city of palaces’.

Newcastle is a city which led the world in delivering the industrial and technical revolutions of the 18th and 19th centuries. The ‘silicon valley’ of heavy engineering – home to the railway locomotive, the electric light, and the turbine generator that powered the first electrified city in the world. A city still at the cutting edge of technology, medicine and the modern world of IT development.

Tours are guided with live commentary by Les Heslop, a Blue Badge guide with 30 years’ experience across the city and North East England and Alan Fidler, Visit England Tourism superstar (2012), who has been guiding visitors around the city and the North East for twelve years.

Tours depart from Clayton Street West opposite Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic cathedral (near to the Centre for Life and Central Railway Station) with a further pick up at the Millenium Copthorne Hotel. The Close, Quayside, Newcastle, NE1 3RT.
