Newcastle Thunder

About

Newcastle Thunder are the North East's only professional Rugby League Club based at Kingston Park, which is also home to Rugby Union team Newcastle Falcons.

The club plays in the Kingstone Press League 1. They are the only professional rugby league team in North East England.

We are more than just a sporting team, with a vibrant community programme that stretches across the whole of Tyne & Wear, with our Community Rugby League Coaches working across Gateshead, Newcastle, Sunderland, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Northumberland, as well as coaches across County Durham. We involve over 3,000 school children and community participants per month and have formed a charity - the Thunder Community Trust.
