Team Juice

Team Juice are a team of 16 to 25-year-old volunteers who work together across all areas of Juice.  Every year the team curates an exciting programme of events for Juice Festival as well as getting involved in fantastic community projects throughout the year.

Team Juice are the powerhouse behind Juice Festival. From festival planning, commissioning artists, recruiting volunteers, and assisting at events, not to mention curating an amazing launch party, they really get stuck in to every area of the festival with relentless enthusiasm. Team Juice also collaborate with other young artists, which this year includes the prolific Skimstone Arts’ Young Artist Collective, on the lead up to the festival.

Throughout the festival Team Juice also engage with the diverse audience who attend Juice Festival events and activities, and collect feedback from attendees. This feedback then allows Team Juice to continue making the festival more inclusive and accessible to all, and plays a major part in how and where Juice Festival activity is designed and delivered.

But Team Juice don’t just work during the festival. They operate year-round, and contribute to community projects across Newcastle and Gateshead. This year some of the team are working with Gateshead Youth Council to support young refugees and asylum seekers to access arts opportunities as part of Juice Festival, as well as mentoring a team of young volunteers.

Team Juice is an excellent opportunity for creative young people who are looking for valuable work experience, skills building, and networking in the professional arts sector. Past team juice members have gone on to work with major music festivals, theatres, community projects, national arts centres, and arts in mental health settings.
