Fine Dining

Fine Dining Restaurants in Newcastle and Gateshead

When you require a dining experience that's really out of this world, you don't need to look so far. You'll find an exquisite choice of fine dining restaurants and Michelin star restaurants in Newcastle and Gateshead, where you can enjoy a meal that's simply unforgettable, in a restaurant that's truly one of a kind.

Newcastle-born and double Michelin-starred TV chef Kenny Atkinson brought his finesse back home with his first restaurant, the award-winning House of Tides on the Quayside. Fine dining in Newcastle doesn't come much better than this, with a daily menu offering the freshest seasonal ingredients in the form of delectable tasting menus.

You could say that the Quayside is a real fine dining hub, as it's also home to beautiful Caffe Vivo, one of the best Newcastle Italian restaurants, plus the funky yet sophisticated Cafe 21, and stylish gastropub The Broad Chare, both of which are among the favourite steak restaurants in Newcastle. Just over the Gateshead Millennium Bridge, you can find fine dining in Gateshead in Six at BALTIC on the top floor of the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Arts. Dobson and Parnell joins this stylish Quayside line-up offering refined British and European cuisine and is owned by award-winning restaurateur Andy Hook who also runs Newcastle's Blackfriars Restaurant. Dobson and Parnell can boast recognition from fine dining big hitters with a well-deserved listing in the Michelin Guide 2018 and the gastronome's bible - the Harden's Guide 2018.

Jesmond also has a fabulous choice of fine dining restaurants, including the stunning Jesmond Dene House, and Peace & Loaf, famous for its own tasting menus that reflect the very best of British produce.
