Loch Fyne

Newcastle restaurant interiors don't come more striking than in Loch Fyne. You can enjoy a delicious assortment of dishes in the surrounds of the renovated United Reformed Church on West Avenue in the heart of Gosforth. The unique dining experience and appetizing menu is sure to entice you back time and time again.

The dining space seamlessly fuses a traditional structure with modern extravagance. Bright, airy church style windows let in vast streams of light that illuminates the entire area. A fresh seafood counter, sure to tantalise your taste buds, dominates the ground floor and there is a large, separate bar. The seating area looks on to the open kitchen, where all the action happens and a mezzanine floor above grants a birds eye view with extra seating. There is also the opportunity for al fresco dining in the fine weather.

After starting out as a small oyster shack on the West Highland Road, Loch Fyne is a delight for the seafood lover. The restaurant has a commitment to nurture marine life and promotes responsible, sustainable fishing and supports independent, high quality producers, fisherman and farmers. You can therefore enjoy your delicious meal with a clear conscience. The extensive menu has something for everyone with plenty of seafood alternatives.

Starters include Loch Fyne smoked salmon, classic prawn cocktails and warm goat's cheese tart, whilst the main menu will tempt you with dishes such as poached Loch Fyne smoked haddock, salmon fishcakes, pan-fried sea bass fillet and shellfish platters. Fresh vegetables and salads will complete your meal to satisfying effect. A comprehensive wine list accompanies the menu and ensures every dish can be complimented with the suitable beverage.
