Jesmond Dene House Restaurant

About

This award-winning Restaurant (three AA Rosettes) in Newcastle is based on simple but firm principles. They start with the best ingredients they can find, preferably local (some from the hotel garden), and they believe taste is more important than style. Their Executive Head Chef, Michael Penaluna, and his team, make it their business to get to know their suppliers, then use their skills to produce dishes that enhance rather than confuse the flavours. Classic techniques but a contemporary approach to produce Modern British dishes that are light, fresh, flavoursome.

At the hotel, they don't believe in rules and formality; they do believe in ensuring you have a good time. Whether you fancy their locally sourced A la Carte lunch and dinner menu, Sunday lunch with the family, or their speciality Afternoon Tea you'll find an atmosphere that's warm, relaxed and friendly.

Their Restaurant has two dining areas: the former music room with earthy tones and fun splashes of orange beneath the original plasterwork ceiling, and the light and leafy Garden Room with its summer terrace.

They are open every day, breakfast through to dinner, to non-residents as well as hotel guests
