Newcastle city centre is a great place to start for must-see visitor attractions  too. Set plenty of time aside to get lost in outer space at Life Science Centre, the award-winning museum just a few minutes’ walk from Newcastle Central Station. Unlock the history of Newcastle and the North East with a visit to Discovery Museum before taking a stroll to St James’ Park  which cuts an imposing figure against the Newcastle skyline. Newcastle Castle has one of the finest surviving castle keeps in England and is where Newcastle gets its name from.
