Life Science Centre have just launched their latest installation created by UK artist Luke Jerram and it is a guaranteed place to bring on a Valentine's Day swoon. You can visit the lunar marvel everyday of the week from 2 February 2019. Top Tip: If you would like to only visit the installation of the moon, you can get tickets from 4pm for a reduced price. Valentine's Day regular - Skating at Life - returns too so you can book a spin around the ice once you have wondered at the moon!

Not strictly on Valentine's Day, join Life for a Supermoon Supper and dine at the each of the moon with your loved one. Definitely a great way to share a romantic meal in a particularly unique surrounding.

Ice, Ice Baby! Lone Wolf Ice Bar at STACK

Lone Wolf Ice Bar is brand new to city centre pop-up STACK Newcastle and where better than a container filled with ice to get cosy with someone you love? Surrounded by ice sculptures and faux fur, the Ice Bar is the ideal place for couples to cool down on Valentine's Day.

Find Time for Some Self-Love with Sage Gateshead

There is always time for a little self-love and what better way to give yourself a warm hug during February than with a spot of yoga. Sage Gateshead are hosting Yoga Live which combines the popular activity with live music. Expect upbeat, acoustic folk vibes as you treat your mind, body and soul to a restoring workout.

Feeling a little bitter? Really rather not celebrate the love of your life this Valentine's Day or would you just love to dance the night away? Look no further than alternative valentine's fun at the much-loved Cumby in Ouseburn. Get ready for a crisp buffet, house cocktails and live music.

No red roses. No pink hearts. No swooning. Colonel Porter's invite you to an evening of fun to get away from cupid's loved up couples. Local djs will be providing the sound track. Loveable local lass Jodie Batey, who you may remember from her endearing ppearances on Channel 4's First Dates, will be offering her own light-hearted look at the world of dating. Screenage Kicks Present True Romance at The Assembly Rooms

Gather friends, families, boyfriends, girlfriends and get down to The Assembly Rooms for another famous Screenage Kicks event. Get ready to be fully immersed in cult classic True Romance with an action packed evening of themed drinks, live music and a whole lot of fancy dress.

RSC Romeo and Juliet at Theatre Royal Newcastle

"Did my heart love til now?" Arguably, this is the best anti-Valentine's Day event out there! But who doesn't love a tragic tale of starcrossed lovers? Be wowed by RSC's production of Romeo and Juliet.
