Chilli Festival

Lazy summer days, lots of time quality time with the family, becoming a classic car enthusiast and a spot of pampering were all on the agenda for July and I had an absolute ball!

I kicked the month off in style with the North East Chilli Fest which took place at Seaton Deleval Hall, it was a scorching day and I sipped a cocktail from a coconut while the sweet sounds of soul music filled the air, I felt like I was on holiday! The food was even hotter than the weather and the chilli eating competition (which I did NOT take part in!) was hilarious!

The NE1 Motor Show returned to Newcastle in July and I geared up for it (pardon the pun) in the best way possible by taking a classic Mustang for a spin. It was convertible too so I whizzed the down the coast road with the wind in my hair, feeling like a film star. Northumbria Classic Car Hire have lots of beautiful motors available for hire and I would recommend the experience to anyone!

I got the chance to admire some more vintage cars when I stepped back in time at the Festival of the 50's which took place at Beamish recently. I love all things 50's from the cars to the clothes, the music and the decor, so I was in my element at the bustling event. I enjoyed the day's festivities with my Mum, Dad, boyfriend, neice and nephew; One of the great things about Beamish is that it is fun for all ages and we all had a memorable family day out.

I feel so lucky to have had such a fun filled few weeks at home in Geordieland, and even more spoilt that I have been able to let my hair down and relax at some of my favourite peaecful spots including the coulourful Quayside Seaside and the tranquil Ramside Spa. The spa day was a treat for my fella's birthday (i.e. a treat for me!) and it provided the perfect end to a wonderful month. I'll be blogging about it soon so keep an eye for that!

Have an amazing August, I know I will!
