Well hello and happy new year, I can't believe it's 2016 already. Time certainly flies when you're having fun which would explain why December seemed to be over in the blink of an eye.

It was a month full of festive fun in Geordieland, from taking my niece and nephew to their first ever panto, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at Whitley Bay Playhouse, to a magical family evening at Enchanted Parks, the traditional exchange of gifts on Christmas day and a spectacular New Year's Eve carnival and firework display - there was lots to enjoy!

I had to be well organised to fit so many exciting events in to one month and because there was so much going on I ended doing a few round up blog posts, 'Walking in a Winter Geordieland', 'Rachel's Last Minute Shopping Guide' and 'My festive Highlights' which featured lots of news and reviews about my December shenanigans. I also wrote about a great night out at City Hall where I saw a Jools Holland concert and The Spiderman Ball where I rubbed shoulders with premiership footballers and helped raise money for a cancer charity.

The next twelve months look set to be busier than ever, it's no wonder I love living in Geordieland! Remember to follow my adventures on twitter @rachmotormouth
