There's been a lot of fog on the Tyne these last few weeks (cue the song!) but my days have been anything but grey as it's been another busy month in Geordieland!

My October got off to a a very glitzy start I was invited to a VIP party at Hooker & Young, a luxurious hair salon in Jesmond where the owners are up for British hairdresser of the year! If you love to be pampered then this is definitely the place to be!

I've also been indulging my love all things theatrical by blogging about The Tempest at Northern Stage. The Shakespeare play kicked off Northern Stage's autumn/winter programme in spectacular style and had me gripped throughout. Check their website to find out what else they've got lined up this year, it really is a wonderful theatre and their Christmas shows are particularly special.

Around the country people have been getting all hot under the collar the for the new Bond film and I was delight to be invited to a VIP Premier screening of Spectre at the Tyneside Cinema by It Is On. It Is On is a brand new luxury deals website that's just launched in Newcastle and they certainly know how to look after their members, it was a great night and I wouldn't have wanted to watch the film anywhere else!

There was a huge influx of international visitors to Geordieland during October as St James' Park hosted the Rugby World Cup. Although I didn't get to any games I loved the atmosphere that was created in the city, especially in the awesome fan zone. The whole city was buzzing and the weather even transformed itself giving our guests beautiful blue skies to play under!

Halloween seemed bigger and better than ever this year, with more parties, more events and even more reasons to paint the Toon red!

Blimey, just reading this back, I can't believe what a busy and brilliant month it's been! As well as these fab events I've also been unleashing my inner foodie with visits to the newly relaunched Bank in Gateshead, Michelin starred restaurant House of Tides on the Quayside, a brand Asian tapas place called The Beat, a stylish new bar called Yolo in Ponteland and of course, the magnificent Fenwick Food Hall! To help spread my love of North East Food & Drink I've put together an A - Z of all my favourite places, check it out over on the blog.

November - You've got big shoes to fill, bring it on!
