Last month I promised to tell you all about my Northumberland Vancation and I'm pleased to say that you can now read about my adventure at www.lifeingeordieland.com. Newcastle really is the gateway to the Northumberland National Park, it's easy to get to and you can enjoy fantastic days out at award winning attractions like Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Cragside (the first house in the world to be lit using hydroelectric power) and the staggering Kielder Water and Forest Park where there's also a state of the art observatory!

I've also been blogging about a great night out on the Toon and reviewing some of Newcastle's best bars and restaurants. I'm sure you will already know that the nightlife here rivals some of the greatest cities on the planet but if you're not quite sure where to go, my little write up about a girls night might help!

The Newcastle Gin Festival was back in June and although I couldn't make it myself, I did make someone's day by giving away a pair of tickets to a lucky follower and I hear they had a brilliant time trying all the different gins, well no surprises there! I hope to do more giveaways on the blog this year so keep an eye out!

The last weekend of the month saw Times Square transformed in to an exotic oasis as Emirates brought their free Go East Festival to Geordieland. I sampled some tasty street food and even picked up a few moves from the Zulu dancers! Never a dull moment, that's for sure!

Be sure to check back next month to find out what I get up to in the sunny (hopefully) month of July!
