It seems like Spring has certainly sprung in Geordieland which has put a massive smile on my face because the longer days and lighter nights mean there's more opportunities to enjoy everything the region has to offer!
The first Sunday of March was Mother's Day and although I didn't get to see my own Mum (who lives in Rochdale), I did put together a little list of some of the lovely ways to spend quality time with Mum (or indeed Mam!) in NewcastleGateshead. From a day out at one of our treasured National Trust properties to a pampering spa day, there's some great suggestions on the blog that I'm sure will come in handy next time my Mum comes to stay.
The season wasn't the only thing to change in March, I've had somewhat of a transformation myself... I've finally decided it's time to be more active and do some regular exercise, wonders will never cease! I've got myself a 'Be Active' Card and have made a promise to make the most of the excellent leisure facilities in the city. This change of attitude came about because I was inspired by the #ThisGirlCampaign and now I'm pleased to say that I've become a local ambassador the campaign! If you head over to the Life in Geordieland blog, you can find out more and even watch a video that features me running (yes, actually running!) along the glorious NewcastleGateshead Quayside!

Hopefully all this keep fit will help me lose a few pounds, if that does happen I'll need to invest in a whole new Summer wardrobe (obviously!). Thanks to Intu Eldon Square's recent fashion shows I know exactly what I'll be purchasing when the time does come. The shopping centre is in the heart of the city and has all my favourite shops, I can't wait for a bit of retail therapy.

I've got an action packed April planned, including a visit from my gorgeous three old niece and nephew so make sure you check back next month to see what adventures we get up to!
