They say it's the month of romance and love was certainly in the air when my boyfriend and I went to Artisan at the Biscuit Factory for a slap up meal in February. You can read all about the gorgeous food and the unique setting that we experienced over on the blog.

This month I've also enjoyed fabulous food at the Grainger Market (one of my favourite places for lunch) Simply Greek, the Town Wall and Bierrex. There are so many great places to eat in Geordieland that I often struggle choosing where to go. So it was even harder trying to decide which eateries to recommend when I put together an 'Insider's Guide to Newcastle' for the brilliant travel blog The Travel Hack earlier this month, you can read the full post HERE.

I think my other half would say the highlight of his month was when I took him to see Top Gear Live at the Metro Radio Arena. I wasn't quite sure what to expect but it really was a gripping show filled death defying stunts, breath taking super cars and of course, plenty of light hearted banter from Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond. Rumour has it the trio had a great time exploring Geordieland, friends of mine spotted them playing footy on Tynemouth beach during the day and tucking in to a curry after the show at Sachins!

Another visitor to the Toon during February was general manager of the Rugby Super League, Blake Solly. I took the opportunity to have breakfast at Blakes with Blake and you can watch a video of our chat about the forthcoming Magic Weekend over at www.lifeingeordieland.com

Writing this round-up has just reminded me how action packed Febraury was! There was also the 6 Music Festival and the Eat in Festival to enjoy. No wonder I love living in this part of the world so much!
