Enchanted Parks - Thursday 8 December customers
Have tried to contact as many customers as possible who had tickets for Enchanted Parks on Thursday 8 December which was cancelled due to high winds.
Many of you have been reallocated a ticket for Friday, Saturday or Sunday evening. If we have already contacted you
Please quote your new booking reference number at the gate and attend at your new time slot
If we haven't managed to contact you You can attend on Saturday or Sunday.
Bring along your Thursday ticket (or reference number) for the same time slot that you were allocated on Thursday. You may have a short wait at the box office but we will ensure that everyone is accommodated.
Getting here by car – Joicey Road entrance
Limited onsite parking is available at Enchanted Parks at a small charge of £2 per car. Those driving should access the park via the Joicey Road entrance at the south end of the park, which can be accessed from Durham Road (A167) via Joicey Road. If you are using sat nav, follow postcode NE9 5AX. Should that car park become full there is overflow car parking available and you will be directed to that on arrival.
Getting here by public transport or on foot – Saltwell View Gate
We’ve got a new entrance into Enchanted Parks this year which will make it easier if you want to make use of the excellent public transport links to the park or for those who live locally and wish to walk.
Go North East’s Saltwell Park bus number 53 leaves from Newcastle (Market Street) and Gateshead Interchange stopping on Brinkburn Avenue which leads directly to Saltwell Park. Go North East Saltwell Park bus number 54 leaves from Newcastle (Market Street and Central Station) stopping on Saltwell View which runs along the park’s northern boundary.
The Angel bus (bus number 21) leaves from Newcastle (Eldon Square Bus Station) and Gateshead Interchange, stopping on Durham Road at Enfield Road and Joicey Road.

Arrival information
- Once you arrive at your chosen gate for Enchanted Parks – please make sure you are on time (we suggest arriving a few minutes early) for your time slot and have your ticket or confirmation email – Enchanted Parks is a very popular event with most of the time slots already having sold out.
- Please dress warmly – Enchanted Parks is an outdoor promenade event and it gets very cold in the park. Hats, gloves, scarves and layers are all a good idea (we’ll be wearing ours!). Sensible footwear is also recommended – the route is fully accessible but pathways may be uneven under foot.
- No dogs (except guide dogs) will be admitted into the park.
- Catering and refreshments and comfort facilities will be available in the park and in Saltwell Towers.
- Enchanted Parks is an all weather event and will go ahead come rain, frost or snow but please check our website for the most up to date information
