With NewcastleGateshead’s strong Irish links, our St Patrick's Day celebrations are always worth a visit! The Tyneside Irish Centre is at the heart of the celebrations and has a whole host of events planned with plenty of traditional entertainment!
Thurs 15
8pm: Celtic Connections Stars Kris Drever & Eamon Coyne, New Gallowgate Lounge. Tickets £12/£10 concessions.
Fri 16
Tony Corcoran Warm-up session. Musicians and singers are invited to join in to sing or play, getting in tune for the big day! FREE.
Sat 17
10.30am: St Patricks Day Mass at St Michaels, Westmorland Road.
12pm-3.00pm: Shamrock Stage at Greys Monument, Irish Traditional Music and Dancers.
12pm: Tyneside Irish Centre (members only). Traditional Music Session in New Gallowgate Lounge (all day).
3pm - 6pm: Liam Turner in bar lounge.
7pm - 9pm: Alan Kelly in bar lounge.
7.30pm - 11.30pm: St Patricks Dance & Concert Tony Corcoran, Dancers and Special Guests. Tickets £4/£3.
Sun 18
Service of Remembrance and Laying of the Shamrock Wreath, Tyneside Irish Brigade at Eldon War Memorial.
8.00pm: Chris O Malley and his Band, all Ireland accordion champion £3.
