Sport Relief 2012 is coming to NewcastleGateshead on Sunday 25th March, and promises to kick off the UK’s biggest ever year of sport with a bang.
Join thousands of people in the picturesque quayside route taking in spectacular views of the river, the Tyne Bridge and both sides of the city. The route will be packed full of entertainment and friendly faces (some famous) to cheer you on.
One million people are expected to take part in the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile events taking place across the UK. From tiny toddlers to top-notch sports pros everyone is guaranteed to have a brilliant day out.
Whether you do 1, 3 or 6 miles, you'll have a fantastic time when you go the distance. You can get sponsored to walk, jog, sprint or even hop, in your comfy tracksuit or fancy dress. The money you raise will help transform people’s lives right here at Street League, in Gateshead, across the UK and in the world’s poorest countries.
A whole host of attractions will keep the family entertained all day, and you may even find yourself rubbing shoulders with a few famous faces along the route!
