The O2 Academy provides a top-class performance space for live music in Newcastle, and with a good mix of established, break-through and up-and-coming bands playing its two stages, it's a great place for concerts in Newcastle.
Newcastle's City Hall has an amazing reputation for some of the best gigs Newcastle has ever seen, including international greats like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and David Bowie. To this day the venue still attracts legendary musicians, as well as a wave of newer artists on the block.
If you want to find the best North East music then head to some of Newcastle's smaller venues such as The Cluny and The Cumberland Arms. Here you'll find intimate gigs with locals artists playing anything from folk music to punk rock.

At the end of June we welcome The Jazz Esquires. The band plays small group jazz with a leaning towards the early Basie groups and other bands of the pre-WWII era. The music is fun and easy to listen to.
Open jam session. There will be a house band to keep the music flowing but any jazz musicians are welcome to join in.
