Dizzee Rascal makes his Evolution comeback along with Maximo Park, Miles Kane, Noah & the Whale, Rizzle Kicks, Band of Skulls, Here we go Magic, deadmau5, as well as DJ sets from DJ Fresh, Jack Beats and Extinct Dinosaurs.
Evolution Weekender is the premier outdoor music festival in the North East of England.
Evolution 2012 will be held on Bank Holiday Sunday 3 and Monday 4 June in line with the shifting Diamond Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend.
Described by Clash Magazine as 'the UKs model City Festival', Evolution takes place on the banks of the iconic River Tyne.
Organisers have announced a price freeze for 2012 with weekend tickets priced at £35+bf and day tickets at £25+bf.
