Comedy clubs and shows in NewcastleGateshead

The North East has produced some of the country's most successful stand-up comedians like Ross Noble and Sarah Millican, so it comes as no surprise that there's not a lack of comedy shows in Newcastle.

The Metro Arena and the City Hall both attract a host of big comedy nights in Newcastle, everyone from Russel Howard to Lee Evans.

If you're looking for a more intimate night of comedy in Newcastle then you can visit one of the city's clubs. The Stand Comedy Club Newcastle, one of the newest additions to the region's humour hub, offers comedy gigs every night of the week. Hyena Comedy Club Newcastle, a purpose built venue near St James' Park, offers great food and comedy over the weekend.

And for something more involved visit The Cumberland Arms, residential home of The Suggestibles, an improv-comedy troupe who take your suggestions to inspire the show.
