On Northern Soil: An Exhibition by Janet Dickson

Janet Dickson is a Northumberland based printmaker with a passion for creating work about gardens.

She is inspired by details such as the graphic form of seed heads, and the colour and form of the garden and landscape.

On Northern Soil is an ongoing project which celebrates the diversity of public and private gardens in and around Northumberland.

This exhibition features drawings and original prints using a range of techniques.

Janet’s background in graphic design is apparent in her linocuts and lithographs, whilst her monotypes employ a more traditional, painterly style.
