Silksworth Sports Complex and Ski Slopes is the North East’s premiere ski facility in Sunderland. The Sports Complex boasts three ski slopes consisting of a 160m floodlit and misted main slope as well as two dedicated nursery ski slopes. Thrill seekers looking for active things to do near Newcastle and Gateshead can book onto a range of skiing and snowboarding lessons which are ran by highly qualified instructors. Whatever your ski ability, whether you've been before or you're a ski or snowboarding novice, Silksworth Sports Complex have welcome skiers of all abilities. Silksworth Ski Slope has artificial surface which will let you enjoy the thrills of winter sports all year round whatever the weather here in the North East.
The sport centre also boasts a fully-equipped athletics track as well as outdoor artificial football pitches for your to enjoy.
