mima, Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art, is a £14.2m landmark gallery located in the heart of Middlesbrough.
mima showcases an internationally significant programme of fine art and applied art from the 1900 to the present day. Exhibitions change on a quarterly basis and include the annual Collection Show, which concentrates on Middlesbrough's outstanding collection of fine art, ceramics and contemporary jewellery. In addition an offsite programme of events and exhibitions will provide visitors the chance to engage with art in alternative surroundings.
The gallery has five exhibition spaces, informal spaces, two dedicated collection stores, a conservation studio, education suite, auditorium, roof terrace, garden, cafe and shop.
Admission is free.
