About

The intu Metrocentre was expanded in 2013-14 to maintain its title as Europe’s largest shopping and leisure centre. Under the intu Metrocentre roof is all the shops, restaurants and leisure activities you could possibly want as a local or visitor to the area. There are almost 330 shops included in the shopping mall which include the likes of major department stores such as Debenhams, House of Fraser and Marks & Spencer. From high street favourites to independent boutiques intu Metrocentre has got it all.

Intu Metrocentre has strong transport links which makes it easy for arranging public transport routes, there is also free parking on-site which is spread out over 4 different areas, catering for up 10,000 vehicles.

The intu Metrocentre is home to the only IMAX cinema in the North East and Namco Funscape, which includes bowling, dodgems, soft play and much more.

In addition to the huge shopping choice there is also a fantastic range of over 60 restaurants and bars, cafes and coffee shops. Whether you’re looking for fine dining or a quick bite to eat you can make a meal of it at intu Metrocentre.

Intu Metrocentre is in easy reach of Newcastle City Centre, you can reach it by rail from Newcastle Central station or on the Stagecoach 100 bus which runs every 8 - 12 minutes during the day from various locations in the centre of Newcastle to intu Metrocentre, click here for full details.
