Cobalt Studios

Cobalt Studios is an arts and live music venue, offering creative events, club nights and artists’ studios with more in development. Look out for events and gigs bringing you alternative nights out and left of centre cultural offerings. They like to programme harder to place music and art, blur genre boundaries and search far and wide to bring visitors little moments of joy.

Cobalt Studios provides high quality artists spaces for 16 artists who cannot afford to pay commercial rents and whose practices benefit the cultural community as well as the wider community. On the ground floor you will find multi-functional art project space for performance, exhibition, music, food and drink. Additionally, on the top floor, they develop a cultural work space that offers seminar opportunities, networking, meeting space, hot desking, educational space and knowledge sharing.

They do this to help artists nurture and develop their careers with fully accessible, and affordable work space, promote dialogue, mutual support, collaboration and knowledge sharing among cultural communities, contribute directly and indirectly to the cultural worth of our city and the cultural offer accessible to a wide public audience, and to recognise and build upon the value of artists as a regenerative catalyst.
