City Sightseeing North East offers visitors to the region, or exploring-locals, a bus tour of Newcastle Gatesthead in an iconic open top double decker bus. Passengers can enjoy an eagle-eyed view of the beautiful North East city with a flexible itinerary made possible through the hop on – hop off service. The tour covers almost every main attraction in the area; this includes the likes of the Centre for Life, Discovery museum, Millennium Bridge, the Baltic, the Sage and the Tyne Bridge to name only a handful.
You won’t have to wait long to begin your city tour as busses run every 30/60 minutes, there is also no need to pre-order your tickets as you can simply pay the driver on the day. The frequent flow of busses, alongside the all-day pass, gives passengers the freedom to hop off to explore different regions of the vibrant North East city.
The City Sightseeing service is available from 29 March to October 2015, there will be no service on 13th September on account of the Great North Run. Visitors to the city who wish to stay put on the double decker bus can enjoy a full city commentary in pre-recorded English.
