Kitsch'n

Kitsch'n is a retro style cafe/diner in the heart of Jesmond, close to the city centre. Its interior is similar to a 50's American diner with red and black decor and original prints. A brick wall on one side of the room creates a classic warmth to the space.
Apart from the usual menu items of sandwiches, salads and jacket potatoes, Kitsch'n serves some great fresh juices like strawberry apple and mint and the regulars rave about the coffee, always a double shot of espresso used.
It it's something sweet you're after, try one fo our homemade cakes, scones or tray bakes all made fresh on the premises. A particular favourite with the students are the Malteser or Mars bar muffins.
Most of all, Kitsch'n is a brunch destination, where eggs come fried, poached or scrambled and breakfast rolls are ordered in abundance.
