Gateshead International Jazz Festival 2010

Gateshead International Jazz Festival brings together as wide a range of artists and influences as possible to include under the umbrella title ‘jazz’ at The Sage Gateshead.

In just one weekend Abdullah Ibrahim, Stan Tracey, the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra, Jerry Dammers’ Spatial A.K.A. Orchestra, Gwilym Simcock, Dan Berglund, Brass Jaw, Shri and Arun Ghosh Band and Gwyneth Herbert are just a few of the artists to be performing at the sixth festival, which has rapidly gained a reputation as one of the jewels on the UK jazz festival scene.

The festival will offer a packed programme of performances, pre-concert talks, DJ sets and family events with many performers at the festival also leading workshops and masterclasses.

This festival is a chance to enjoy as wide a range of music as possible in world-class performance spaces under one spectacular roof over one weekend.
