After the huge success of 2008, the NewcastleGateshead Art Fair will be revisiting The Sage Gateshead in 2009 from Thursday 1st October to Sunday 4th October.

After the huge success of 2008, the largest commercial Art Fair in North East England return to The Sage Gateshead, 2nd – 4th October with the VIP opening night on the 1st October.

The NewcastleGateshead Art Fair will be a must see for all visitors, art lovers and collectors as well as those interested in browsing for their first investment.

Expert advice on buying art and building a collection will be on hand from some of the region’s and UK’s established and emerging galleries.

Galleries from overseas and the UK are taking space, showing an extensive range of unique art works – paintings, sculpture, ceramics, photographs and glass – will be on show and available to buy with price tags ranging from under £100 to the several £1000s

Celebrate the culminations of the Northern Print Biennale with demonstrations from leading print makers taking place at the Fair.

This year will also see the return of the emerging artists’ showcase with 15 unrepresented artists from the North East, selected and curated by some of the top local galleries who will also be exhibiting. This will be an opportunity to catch these up and coming artists at an early stage of their career.

The Own Art scheme is designed to make it easy and affordable for everyone to buy contemporary works of art and craft including paintings, photography, sculpture, glassware and furniture.

The NewcastleGateshead Art Fair is supported by the Bupa Great North Run, Arts Council England and Chromazone.
