The Beautiful Journey is set in a not very distant future. Something has happened. Humanity is on the move, an exodus into the unknown.

WILDWORKS conjures a world of strange comfort where a mythic Queen hosts bizarre entertainment. This is a surreal world where hairdressers tell your fortune; where we experience the memory projector, witness random acts in Kalypso’s cabaret, dance to the live shanty band and dream of home.

Join WILDWORKS on a stirring outdoor adventure at Oceana on the North bank of the River Tyne where the old certainties have melted away like the ice. You will become part of the journey, travelling hopefully into the edge of tomorrow...

Led by Director Bill Mitchell WILDWORKS is an international company of artists, musicians and theatre makers who create large-scale theatre events in unusual sites working with the extraordinary communities who live and work there. Audiences all over Europe have responded with delight and awe at their remarkable theatrical events.
