There's an exciting programme of events and festivities, including a new focus on Indian literature. This year visitors can enjoy performances by some of the finest musicians, DJs, artists and dancers from across the UK and South Asia. There'll also be workshops, exhibitions, a film and food festival and spectacular outdoor finale on Sunday 12th October when Baltic Square will be transformed into a bazaar, with colourful stalls, street performances and amazing activities for the whole family to enjoy.
Confirmed acts include: world-class musician, producer and DJ Nitin Sawhney, the great Sufi and Bollywood vocalist Rahat Ali Khan, internationally-acclaimed Bangladeshi singer Habib, amazing Folk Musicians and dancers from Rajasthan, runners up of ITV’s Britains Got Talent – Signature, the inimitable Radio 1 DJ Bobby Friction and much, much more.
