A festival which passionately advocates to all the pleasures of creating and sharing good food and drink in the North East


EAT! NewcastleGateshead aims to:

  • Elevate the profile of the North East as a producer and provider of quality food and drink
  • Attract visitors from outside the region to the North East to sample the hospitality available.
  • Champion local talent and provide opportunities for them to share their food knowledge and skills with industry professionals and the general public.
  • Develop enthusiasm for the enjoyment of good, healthy food in local children and their families.
  • Encourage strong connections between NewcastleGateshead and its local food and drink producers and awareness of the farm-to-fork journey.
  • Encourage pleasurable and convivial encounters at the table.

Dates for EAT! NewcastleGateshead 2012 are now confirmed and we are busy working on the programme and website. The festival kicks off on Friday 13 July and runs until Sunday 29 July. We are aiming to have the website and brochure available early June, and tickets will go on sale soon after.
