Launched in 2003, and consolidating the success of the European Capital of Culture bid led by Gateshead Council and Newcastle City Council, culture¹⁰ is a team dedicated to developing a programme of world-class festivals and events across NewcastleGateshead and North East England.

Working with a wide range of partners from all over the world and across a broad cultural spectrum, our projects range from attracting and hosting exceptional professional sporting events, commissioning new, exciting and innovative art and performance to creating, nurturing, supporting and developing festivals and events.
