Our Conference Ambassador Programme is proven to work. Conference Ambassadors and their colleagues from our universities and hospitals, who are responsible for securing major events for the region, make a substantial contribution to the local economy.

Recent winning bids include:

  • The Association for Simulated Practice in Healthcare, whose event will take place in November 2010 at Newcastle United Football Club and will welcome 250 delegates
  • The Regional Studies Association, whose event will take place in April 2011 at Newcastle University and will welcome 350 delegates
  • The British Association for Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH), whose event will take place in May 2011 at The Sage Gateshead and will welcome 500 delegates
  • The British Society of Criminology, whose event will take place in July 2011 at Northumbria University and will welcome 300 delegates
