Spring is in the air and the Easter holidays will arrive soon oozing with chocolate and bouncing with fluffy bunnies.

Easter Fun at Beamish Museum

Breathe in the great outdoors at Beamish Museum this Easter.  They have a packed programme of events including an Easter egg trail, Easter bonnet making, egg rolling competitions, rabbit finger puppet making and a chance to sample traditional Easter baking. Pff! You really could go back every day and as with all daytime events, your Unlimited Pass means your entry to the museum will last all year!

Alnwick Castle reopens for Spring

Practice your very best Robin Hood routine with Have-a-go Archery or why not channel your inner Harry Potter and hop on a broomstick? Over the Easter holidays, the most courageous and worthy are invited to enter Dragon Quest – a new and must see event for 2017!

Filmaking and Animation Easter Bootcamps at Tyneside Cinema

Tyneside Cinema have two brilliant bootcamps available this Easter! Your budding Ridley Scotts and Nick Parks (aged 11-13) can get hands on experience in film and animation at a choice of two workshops taking place during the school holidays. Learn how to plan, shoot and edit short films or devise and create a short stop–frame animation with expert advice and support on hand. Children do not need to have any previous experience either.  This will be fabulous!

Chocolate Workshops at Life Science Centre

It wouldn’t be Easter without an overindulgent chocolate-fest! Life Science Centre have the perfect workshop for all those with a sweet tooth. Test your taste buds and discover the science behind why we love chocolate so much at a Chocolate Workshop. This is recommended for ages 5+ and included in your admission price.

Camp Wild: School Holiday Camps 2017 at Beamish Wild

If you are struggling to find child care – why not book your kids into an action packed camp at Beamish Wild with activities including high ropes, den building, fire lighting, bush craft and much more.

Suitable for children aged 6 – 13 years old, you can book in for 1-3 days and lunch can be provided for an additional £5 with advanced booking.
