Northumberland is one of the minor cricket counties and they have a very pleasant ground in Jesmond, a leafy suburb of Newcastle, which can easily be reached on the Metro.

Get off at Jesmond or West Jesmond, it's only 2-3 minutes from Newcastle's town centre.
