Whickham Thorns Outdoor Activity Centre

Whickham Thorns Outdoor Activity Centre is a unique leisure complex which provides opportunities for groups and individuals to participate in a range of exciting outdoor activities including skiing, snowboarding, rock climbing, archery and mountain biking.

It overlooks the A1 and MetroCentre and is within easy reach of Gateshead town centre.  For those who prefer to spend their leisure time less energetically there are a number of trails and footpaths to be enjoyed too. The Centre has been designated a local gateway to The Great North Forest and as such links into a number of longer walks and bike rides in the local countryside.
