NewcastleGateshead Conference Rail Travel Offer
NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau and East Coast have teamed up to give delegates attending large conferences in NewcastleGateshead 20% off first and standard class advance purchase rail travel to and from the conference. This offer is valid on East Coast services on the East Coast main line and does not apply to any other rail providers or routes. 

When can delegates book?
Bookings are open from three months prior to the date of your event, as with all rail travel. The offer is subject to availability, so delegates must be sure to book their tickets early.

When can delegates travel?
NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau will liaise with conference organisers and East Coast to offer delegates the opportunity to book travel around the dates of your conference. 

How do delegates book?
This offer is exclusive to delegates of the conference. Tickets can only be booked online via the bespoke link which the Convention Bureau and East Coast will set up specifically for your event. All major credit, debit and charge cards are accepted as payment. If any delegates require space for a wheelchair or have access requirements they will need to contact the dedicated Assisted Travel Team on 08457 225 225 before they book.

How do I set up a rail ticket booking website for my delegates?
If you would like to get a website set up for your event, please email details of the title and dates of your event, as well as the expected number of delegates to anna.moroney@ngi.org.uk.  We will then get the website set up for you and send you a link from which delegates will able to make their bookings - bookings will be live from three months prior to your event.  You must promote this service as much as possible to your delegates, and include details on your main event website as well as in any correspondence you send out to delegates.

Terms and conditions
In addition to the National Rail Conditions of Carriage, the following conditions apply:
• Bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance of outward travel. Once a booking is made, no refunds will be allowed but tickets may be changed for a fee.
• There are no child, railcard or other promotional discounts available with this offer.
• Travel is only permitted on the East Coast service you are reserved on, and no break of journey is allowed except to change to/from connecting trains where these are shown on your ticket or itinerary.
• The offer is available in First and Standard Class. If you have purchased a Standard Class ticket no upgrade to First Class will be allowed.
• The discount is only available on East Coast trains to/from Newcastle
