Japanese Style Stottie Sandwich Recipes

Nami Fukutome of Tokyo Picnic Club presents her recipes for the ultimate East meets North East sandwich: Japanese Style Stottie Sandwiches.

TERIYAKI CHICKEN AND WASABI MAYONNAISE


Ingredients and recipe for Teriyaki sauceTeritaki Chicken and Wasabi Mayonnaise Stottie
Water 120ml
Japanese Soy Sauce 30ml
White sugar 30ml
Potato starch (white powder) 10ml 

1) Put all ingredients in to a pan and mix.
2) Put pan on heat and mix slowly continuously
3) Once it begins to boil and thickens, it’s ready
4) Leave to cool and mix with sliced roast chicken 

Wasabi Mayonnaise
Mix together mayonnaise and a little Wasabi paste to your preferred strength

Preparation for stottie
1) Cut the stottie in half and spread butter thinly.
2) Spread Wasabi mayonnaise on the bottom side of the stottie and add plenty of fresh lettuce leaves (Romaine lettuce is ideal for its crispness)
3) Add the Teriyaki chicken and the top half of the stottie  


MISO MAYONNAISE CHICKEN

Ingredients and recipe for Miso MayonnaiseMiso Mayonnaise Chicken
Mayonnaise
Miso paste

Roast chicken

1) Mix up miso paste and mayonnaise - mix together mayonnaise and a little Miso paste to your preferred strength
2) Mix with sliced roast chicken

Preparation for stottie
1) Cut the stottie in half and spread butter thinly
2) Add lettuce leaves and Miso Mayonnaise Chicken and cover with stottie
