Picnopolis Speciality Foods

Tokyo Picnic Club has worked with local food producers to add some North East flavours to its own range of picnic specialties. The specialities will be available to buy during Picnopolis from participating outlets.

Picnic CakePicnic Cake
In 2005, Tokyo Picnic Club reproduced a 90 year-old picnic cake from a recipe in “100 Picnic Suggestions” published in the US in 1915. A delicious combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, raisins and nuts. The perfect companion to have with Picnic Tea.

Picnic Cookies
Limited edition special aeroplane-shaped cookies specially for Picnopolis in NewcastleGateshead. Green Herb Cookie: a hint of rosemary and thyme flavours with Japanese green tea powder. Brown Cheese Cookie: a collaboration of Japanese sesame, black pepper and English cheddar cheese.

Picnic TeaPicnic Tea
Tokyo Picnic Club original tea. Greenfield tea reflects the image of picnic on a lawn with a balmy breeze. A flowery aroma with rose, orange and apple. Brownfield tea offers comfort in urban life. A spicy aroma with Mauritius vanilla and bergamot. Enjoy both either hot or cold.

Picnic Tea Punch
The perfect refreshing drink. Brownfield tea mixed with ginger ale. It has a refreshing touch of mint and lemon.

Angel Picnic Beer
Tokyo Picnic Club and Wylam Brewery commemorate the Angel the North’s 10th anniversary with this great picnic beer.

Other local foods
TPC and Picnopolis will be highlighting some of the great regional food producers, so you can try Moorhouse Farm sausages and meat, Northumberland Cheese Co. award-winning cheeses, delicious cakes and traditional stotties from local bakers, home-grown vegetables and ice cream from North East dairy herds.
