MOTHERPLANE will be on Baltic Square for all 10 days of Picnopolis and will be joined on the last day by its BABYPLANES for the finale event which includes the "Picnic of the Year" contest.
MOTHERPLANE will be accessible to wheelchairs. No barbeques, glass bottles or alcohol will be allowed on the MOTHERPLANE.
11am - 5pm each day.

The BABYPLANES begin their tour at one of the region’s most recognisable icons. Come for a picnic breakfast.

The BABYPLANES land in the tranquil wooded valley of Jesmond Dene, which was given to the city in 1883 by industrialist Sir William Armstrong.

On Wednesday the BABYPLANES will be greeted by the animals and staff at Bill Quay Community Farm.

Next the BABYPLANES visit Europe's largest shopping and leisure centre, where they’ll no doubt do a bit of shopping before their date with the MetroGnomes.

Old Eldon Square has undergone redevelopment recently but it’s open once again and will surely attract al fresco diners all year round.

The BABYPLANES visit Saltwell Park as their penultimate stop-off. The park has been restored to all its Victorian splendour in recent years.

On the last day, August Bank Holiday, a hundred BABYPLANES and MOTHERPLANE will join together at Gateshead Quays to host a picnic contest that will select the "Picnic of the Year". The winning group will be awarded the luxury hamper at 4pm.
