New Orleans Boogie Nights: Neville Brothers and Allen Toussaint Quartet – Friday 25 July, 7.30pm, Hall One
A huge double bill of two of the greatest New Orleans funk and soul acts. The Neville Brothers personify New Orleans and their live shows are legendary. Singer, pianist, composer and record producer Allen Toussaint is a pivotal figure of the New Orleans R ‘n’ B scene, whose work has been performed by everyone from Dr. John to Patti LaBelle and heavily sampled by hip-hop artists. New Orleans Late Night Party with Abram Wilson’s Londorleans Brass Band plus DJs – Friday 25th July, 10.30pm, Hall Two

New Orleans born, London based trumpeter Abram Wilson (of Jazz Jamaica All Stars) plus his band of the hottest brass players on the black British jazz scene let rip! Tickets: £10 in advance/£12 on the door/£5 for ticket holders for the New Orleans Boogie Nights show

Combining blues and soul with a nod to Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlile’s debut album in 2005 scored her a place in Rolling Stone’s ‘Top Ten Artists To Watch’ list.
